The process for selecting a candidate by language proficiency test is as follows:
1. The LPT follows the preliminary and main stages of the RBI Assistant Exam.
2. You need to appear for this test after clearing the main stage.
3. The LPT is conducted in the selected state's local language during the application process.
4. There are written and oral tests to check the proficiency in the office language before allocating that particular branch to a shortlisted candidate.
5. The duration of the LPT test is usually half an hour.
6. The test is simply qualifying in nature and consists of basic grammar and writing skills in the selected language.
7. Once you pass this test, you will be allotted a particular branch based on your final rank.
8. The LPT is usually conducted on document verification days; therefore, afterward, you are simply required to join the bank after allotment.

The RBI Assistant Language Proficiency Test is conducted after the main stage. Following the main exam, if you are shortlisted, you must take the LPT in the native tongue of the chosen state. Usually, this test includes the following:
