TAMU is known for its programs in the disciplines like Engineering, Agriculture and Business. Meanwhile, the University of Houston is known for its Business school. The acceptance rate of TAMU is around 63%, whereas, the University of Houston acceptance rate is around 70%. Looking at the acceptance rate, it can be said that TAMU is more selective than Houston University.

The application fee for TAMU international students is USD 90 (Around INR 7,900). Freshman international students can apply to this university via Common App. Whereas, most graduate programs of the university utilize Texas A&M UniversityCAS application system. To apply to the university, the applicants are also required to submit the documents like:
