Tezpur University generally offers better placement opportunities with higher median salaries (INR 6.96 LPA for UG) and top recruiters like Microsoft and Accenture. Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) has solid placements, especially in the IT sector, but with comparatively lower salaries and fewer high-tier recruiters.

No, Section 3, the General Aptitude Test (GAT), in CUET is not compulsory overall. However, it is often a requirement for specific undergraduate programs at many participating universities, especially top-ranked ones like Delhi University (DU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), and Banaras Hindu University (BHU). Therefore, while not mandatory for all courses, it is highly recommended to prepare for and take the General Test, as it significantly enhances a candidate's chances of admission to many universities and programs.
