The Great Eastern Institute of Maritime Studies - GEIMS Admission Process

GEIMS Pune selects candidates for Diploma in Nautical Science based on an online test conducted by the institute. Aspirants applying for Diploma also need to pass IMU CET for admission. No, GEIMS Pune does not offer direct admission. Candidates have to first apply for the preferred programme and then appear for an online examination conducted by the institute. Admission to General Purpose Rating is merit-based and aspirants do not need to appear for the test. Once selected, candidates are further called for a personal interview round for selection. The final admission is offered based on academic score, test score, medical test and performance of the aspirants in the interview round.

GEIMS Pune admissions are both merit and entrance-based. The institute conducts an online examination for all courses except General Purpose Rating. The selection for GPR is based on the performance of the candidates in the personal interview round and merit in the last qualifying exam.
