The eligibility criteria for LNMIIT PhD pogramme differ based on choice of specialisation/cours. Candidates who wish to know the course-specific eligibility requirements can check the below section:
CSE:
- Master's degree in engineering (MTech/ME/MS (by research) in CSE/CCE/IT/ECE or any other relevant discipline with a minimum 60 % marks, or
- BTech/BE in CSE/ECE/CCE/IT or any other relevant discipline with minimum 70% marks and GATE qualified, or
- MCA or MSc in CS/Maths or any other relevant discipline with minimum 60% marks and GATE qualified
ECE:
- MTech/ME/MS (by Research) in ECE – 60%, or

Both LNMIIT and IIT Dharwad are good options to pursue MS. However, in terms of affordability, IIT Dharwad is more affordable since the tuition fee to pursue MS at LNMIIT is INR 3.9 lakh, and the tuition fee to pursue MS at IIT Dharwad is INR 10,000.

Yes, in case a student decides to withdraw his/her MS admission from LNMIIT, he/she is entitled to a fee refund. However, the amount of refund is subject to certain conditions. Moreover, students must note that in order to avail refund, they must fill out the Online Refund Request form by logging into their student account made at the time of application stage.
As per the official website, the requests are processed within fifteen working days after receiving the refund request. Check out the below table to know the refund amount:
