Yes, there are entrance exams which are accepted and are one of the eligible criteria for admission at NIE Mysore. The exams are CET, COMEDK, KMAT, PGCET and GATE. It is mandatory to appear in these exams with a valid rank, for taking admission in institute.

For admission in BE Computer Science and Engineering at National Institute of Engineering, candidates must be a PCM student in Class 12 with at least, 60% aggregate. The course duration is of four years. Apart from 60% aggregate, valid score in entrance exam like KCE and COMEDK is required.

Since the NIE Mysore offers only BTech for Class 12 pass outs. For all branches, PCM in Class 12 is mandatory. Apart from this, candidates have to appear in entrance exams like KCET, COMEDK and JEE Main. The seats are allotted via KEA or COMEDK counselling. Institute also take admission through Management Quota in UG courses. For management quota also, entrance exams are mandatory.

If any foreign candidate is willing to take admission in institute, he or she can contact the official authorities for the same. If they permit, candidates can apply for admission with all the documents.

There is no last date mentioned on the official website of the National Institute of Engineering. The admissions are open and the process takes place online. The institute offers BTech (in different specialisations), M.Tech and MCA. The last date also depends on the last date of entrance exams, since it is an indispensable part of the admission procedure.

NIE Mysore COMEDK UGET Cutoff 2025 was published for admission to the BE courses for all rounds and categories under the All India and Home State quota.
For the General AI category, the last round cutoff ranged from 30072 to 65094, wherein B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering, with cutoff being 30072.

The NIE Mysore KCET cutoff 2025 was concluded with the annoucement of the final round of cutoff.
For the General AI category, the cutoff for the General AI category ranged from 12751 to 119874, wherein B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering, with the last round cutoff being 12751.
Note: other categories, rounds, etc., will have different cutoff accordingly.

NIE Mysore provides a combined total of 254 seats for M.Tech under various engineering departments. The maximum intake is in Computer Science and Engineering with 120 seats. Specializations such as Civil, Mechanical, EEE, and AI & ML are also provided. There is a distribution of seats including regular and Management Quota seats.
