The deadlines vary for different scholarships at the university. UoE is yet to release the new deadlines for the upcoming session. Given below are the tentative deadlines for some popular UoE scholarships.

Yes, a conditional or unconditional admission offer is mandatory to be eligible for financial support at UoE. Also maintain great scores in studies, and not be getting financial help from anywhere else. For master's courses, most scholarships also ask for prior work experience. A portfolio of your certifications and achievements is also needed.

Yes, the UoE does offer 100% scholarships for students. But these are mostly available for PhD courses or students from Africa. The Edinburgh Doctoral Scholarship covers the entire tuition costs, and also offers a UKRI stipend worth INR 25.3 L. To be eligible, students would need to meet the requirements given below.
- Already applied for a full-time or part-time PhD course at the university
- Prove proficiency in english
- Not receiving financial support from any other source
- Have a UK 2:1 Honours degree or equivalent

No, JK Rowling did not study at UoE. She pursued a teacher training course at the Moray House before it joined UoE. In 2004, she receieved an honorary doctorate from the university. Her main studies include a UG degree in French and Classics from the University of Exeter.

Yes, Accenture does hire UoE graduates as part of placements on-campus. However, It is not the only tech giant that does. Cognizant, Deloitte, and Oracle are among the other popular tech based companies that hire from Edinburgh University.
Software Engineer, Data Scientist, and Systems Engineer are the roles taken by Engineering graduates of UoE.

UoE ranks #1 in the UK for its Electronics Engineering program, in the latest Shiksha Rankings. It consistently ranks among the best universities in UK for engineering. Indian students would need a 2:1 UG Honours degree with a minimum GPA of 8.0 on a 10.0 scale for MSc in Electronics Engineering at the University of Edinburgh.
For BSc in Electronics Engineering at UoE, a Class 12th completion certificate with a minimum of 80% is required.
