1) Undergraduate Requirements:

• The University of Newcastle recognises a 75% average in Standard XII as comparable to ABB at A level.
• This can be awarded by: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)/Council for the Indian School Certificate (CISCE)/National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)/Various state boards/Autonomous schools.
• 2) Postgraduate Requirements:
• The University of Newcastle recognises 60% from section 1 universities,  62% from section 2 universities and 65% from section 3 universities as comparable to a 2.1 and 58% from section 1 universities, 60% from section 2 universities and 63% from section 3 universities as comparable to a 2.2.
• This can be in any of the following qualifications: Bachelor Degree/Bachelor Pass or General degree in Arts, Science or Commerce/Bachelor Special or Honours degree/Bachelor degree in professional subjects

Below are the requirements for Indian Students:

Undergraduate requirements:

• The Newcastle University wants applicants to have a minimum 75% average in Standard XII as comparable to ABB at A level. The score can be awarded by any of the following mentioned below

1. CBSE

2. CISCE 

3. NIOS

4. Autonomous Schools 

• Actual grades required will vary depending on the exam board

• However, applicants must also submit the below IELTS as their English Proficiency test.

• In most cases, applicants will need an overall score of 6.5 or equivalent in IELTS. 

Postgraduate  Requirments

• Applicants must score a 60% from section 1 Universities

• Applicants must score 62% from section 2 universities

• Applicants must score 60% from section 3 Universities as comparable to a 2.2.

This can be in the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree

2. Bachelor pass or general degree in arts, Science or commerce

3. Bachelor's special or honours degree 

4. Bachelor's degree in professional subjects

• However, applicants must also submit the below IELTS as their English Proficiency test.
