TISSNET

Candidates appearing for the TISSNET mock test must follow the prescribed instructions:
TISSNET will consist of 100 questions of one mark each. There will be no negative marking for TISSNET. Candidates will have 100 minutes (one hour 40 minutes) to solve the questions
The question paper will consist of three sections viz. , General Awareness, Mathematics and Logical Reasoning, and English Proficiency. Candidates can attempt the question in any order of preference. There is no sectional limitation. Candidates can review and change their answers before the TISSNET time duration is up. Post which the answers will be submitted automatically. The right side of the screen will display the questions that you have not attempted, saved and submitted and attempted and saved, but not submitted. Candidates will not be permitted to leave the exam before the time duration is completed.

Candidates applying online for TISSNET 2024 exam will be asked to choose between two modes of payment - Cash or Payment Gateway (debit card/credit card/ net banking) in the online application form. If the preferred mode of payment is cash, candidates must note that a payment challan has to be downloaded from the 'Download Challan' tab. The payment challan will have three copies. Candidates must now deposit the cash amount mentioned on the challan in any branch of the State Bank Of India (SBI). The bank will return the two copies of the challan (Student Copy and TISS Copy) along with the bank's seal, signature, and journal number on it. Candidates must then scan the 'TISS Copy' of the challan, login back into the online application system, and upload it. To pay the TISSNET application fee through debit card/credit card/ net banking, candidates must ensure to have card details, login ID and password of the card.

Only candidates having lack access to internet services (remote areas) can write to TISS Mumbai campus for the printed application form. Such candidates must fill the TISSNET application form and submit it before the prescribed last date of submission. Other candidates who do not belong to emote areas must fill the TISSNET 2024 application online on the official website tiss. Edu. Such candidates will have no option to fill the TISSNET application form offline. The TISSNET application fee can be paid by credit card, debit card, net banking and deposit cash in any SBI branch using the prescribed challan. Candidates must note that paying the application fee is mandatory to complete the registration process. Candidates must download the TISSNET application form after successful payment of the TISSNET application fee.

Candidates appearing for the TISSNET exam must ensure to reach the allotted exam centre one hour prior to the allotted time. Candidates must avoid any last minute rush to avoid any hassles on the exam day. Some of the do's and don'ts for the TISSNET exam centre are:

Candidates must carry a hard copy of the TISSNET hall ticket and a photo card to the exam centre
Carry a pen/pencil to the exam centre
Co-operate with the TISSNET test centre staff during the verification process
Use the roll number printed on the admit card to locate the examination hall
2. Don'ts
Candidates must not carry calculators, mobile phones, pagers or any other electronic items. These items are prohibited inside the exam hall. Candidates must not be late to the examination centre. Test centre gates will be closed 15 minutes before the commencement of the exam. Geometry/Pencil box, Handbag, Purse, and eatables are not allowed inside the examination hall.

Candidates who will be appearing for the TISSNET exam will be permitted to carry the following items at the exam centre- TISSNET hall ticket, photo ID card and a photograph Carry a pen/pencil since the COVID-19 outbreak candidates must also carry their own water bottle and sanitiser of 100 ml. Candidates must ensure that the water bottle and hand sanitiser bottle must be transparent. Other than the mentioned items no other items will be allowed inside the examination hall. Candidates will not be permitted to wear smart watches. There will be no provision for bag storage at the exam centre, hence candidates must ensure not to carry any valuable items inside their bags. The authorities at the TISSNET exam centre will not be responsible for any loss of items. Candidates are also not permitted to carry any electronic gadgets or rough sheets. Any candidate found with the prohibited items will be barred from taking the TISSNET exam.

TISSNET 2024 exam is expected to be held across 40 exam cities in India. Candidates will be able to select up to four exam city preferences while filling the TISSNET application form. Given below is the list of TISSNET exam centres (the list will be updated soon after the release of the TISSNET 2024 notification):
1. Northern Region: Chandigarh, Dehradun, New Delhi, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Noida, Varanasi, Greater Noida, Jammu, and Srinagar.
2. Eastern Region: Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Dimapur, and Silchar
3. Western Region: Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Bhopal, Gwalior, Indore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Solapur, Navi-Mumbai, and Thane.
4. Southern Region: Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Visakhapatnam, Madurai, Thiruvananthapuram, and Kozhikode. Important note- Candidates must note that the institute may cancel any test centre/or assign a nearby exam centre if the situation so persists.

Candidates will be able to check the allotted exam centre upon release of TISSNET admit card. Only candidates who will fill the TISSNET registration form along with the successful application fee payment will be able to download the hall ticket when released. The TISSNET hall ticket is expected to release in the third week of February 2024. Candidates will be able to check the following details on the release of TISSNET 2024 hall tiket:

6. Time of exam
7. Exam centre name & address
8. Photograph
9. Signature
10. Instructions related to the exam
Candidates must note that the exam centre once allotted, no request for change in TISSNET exam centre will be entertained. Candidates are advised to carefully enter the exam centre preference while filling the application form.

TISSNET exam centre preference can be added while filling the application form. TISSNET 2024 registration forms will be released in the third week of December 2023. While filling the application form candidates will be able to select up to four exam cities. TISSNET 2024 exam is expected to be held across 40 exam cities in India. Candidates will be able to choose form the list provided by the authorities. To select the preferred city for allotment of TISSNET exam centre, candidates must follow the steps mentioned below:
1. Register on the official website of TISS
2. Login with the credentials created.
3. Screen will display the TISSNET 2024 application form. Enter the exam city name as per preference.
4. Fill up the rest of the application details
5. Submit the application form along with the payment of the application fee.

The TISSNET exam is conducted in offline mode. Authorities release the list of exam centres where the exam is conducted. The exam is conducted across approximately 40 exam cities in India. Candidates are allotted the TISSNET exam centre based on the preference added by them while filling the TISSNET application form. While registering for TISSNET candidates must carefully enter the TISSNET exam centre preference as there will be no provision for change in exam centre once the application form is submitted. Only candidates who will fill the application form along with the payment of the application fee will be able to download the TISSNET admit card when released. The hall ticket will be available for download tentatively in the third week of February 2024 and the TISSNET 2024 exam is expected to be held in the last week of February 2024. The TISSNET hall ticket will mention the candidate's details, exam time and allotted exam centre. Candidates must report at the allotted TISSNET exam centre on the given date and time.
