There are more than 65 Tool Engineering colleges in India that follow their own admission guidelines for giving admission to students. So, the time involved in the admission process can vary but generally it can take up to a few months because there are a lot of formalities to be completed before allotting you a seat for the course. A few general steps include giving the entrance exam (if applicable), filling out college application forms, exam result announcement, cutoff release, counselling, seat allotment and Tool Engineering course fee payment.

For studying UG Tool Engineering courses, you should have a minimum of 50 to 60% marks in Class 12 in the PCM subjects. For PG courses, you should have a BTech degree in a relevant field with at least 50 to 55% marks. Then, you should give relevant entrance tests for admission and get very good marks.
After that, you have to fill out the college application forms before the last date of registration, After the exam results are out, you need to apply for the college counselling process that is meant for seat allotment. After getting the seat, go to the college and pay the Tool Engineering course fee.
