To apply for TG ICET exam, a candidate must be at least 19 years old. This is the lower age limit set by the exam authorities. There is no upper age limit mentioned by the Telangana Council of Higher Education. Therefore, anyone who meets the minimum age requirement can apply, regardless of how old they are. Candidates should make sure they meet the age condition before starting the application. Age will be calculated as of a specific date, which may be mentioned in the official notification.

Every year, with the release of TG ICET notification, TGCHE notifies the qualifying cutoff, also known as qualifying score. Candidates appearing for the TG ICET exam must meet the qualifying cutoff to participate in the counselling process. The qualifying cutoff has not changed from the previous session. Candidates have to score a minimum of 25 per cent marks if they belong to unreserved categories. Those who belong to reserved categories are eligible for the counselling, irrespective of their scores.
