TS LAWCET question paper will be set both in English and Telugu or English and Urdu. Candidates will be given option to choose the language as per their preferences. The Telangana LAWCET exam will comprise the questions majorly from three subjects namely GK & Mental Ability, Current Affairs, and Aptitude for the Study of Law.

In TGCHE LAWCET 2026 exam, the questions will be asked from the three sections namely, General Knowledge with sub topics including- History, Geography, Economics, Logical Reasoning, and Environmental Science. However, Mental Ability may include Syllogism, Number and Series, Puzzles, Algebra, Blood relation, and direction-based questions. The following is indicated regarding the TS LAWCET marking scheme: Every right response earns one mark. Negative marking does not exist. As a result, 120 marks is the highest possible score (1 mark x 120 questions).

There are a total of 120 questions in the TS LAWCET question paper. Following is the segregation of marks for each section:

  • General Knowledge & Mental Ability: 30 questions
  • Current Affairs: 30 questions
  • Aptitude for the Study of Law: 60 questions

The Aptitude for the Study of Law is the most important section of the TS LAWCET exam because majority of the questions are asked in this section and it carries a weightage of equal to 60 marks out 120 marks.
