TSLAWCET Pattern

In TGCHE LAWCET 2026 exam, the questions will be asked from the three sections namely, General Knowledge with sub topics including- History, Geography, Economics, Logical Reasoning, and Environmental Science. However, Mental Ability may include Syllogism, Number and Series, Puzzles, Algebra, Blood relation, and direction-based questions. Second section will comprise of current affairs questions including - events and news of national and international importance (past one year). The third section will comprise Aptitude for the study of law including topics such as elementary knowledge about law subjects, Principles of law, and Questions about Constitutions of India, constitutional rights 

The TS LAWCET exam pattern consists of the following key aspects:

• Mode of Exam: Computer Based Test (CBT)
• Duration: 90 minutes
• Total Marks: 120
• Number of Sections: 3 (Aptitude for Study of Law, General Knowledge and Mental Ability and Current Affairs)
• Marking Scheme: Each correct answer carries 1 mark, no negative marking for incorrect answers.

Knowing the number of sections, weightage of each section, and types of questions asked allows you to prioritize your study efforts effectively. You can allocate more time to sections carrying higher marks or where you feel less confident.

The exam duration is 90 minutes, and with 120 questions to answer, time management becomes crucial. The TS LAWCET (Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test) is typically conducted in an online mode, also known as a Computer-Based Test (CBT). Candidates are provided with a physical computer systmens, and they are required to mark their responses using a computer mouse / touchscreen.
