The University of Canberra expects a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4-point scale from international students. However, GPA is not the crucial factor among the factors considered by UC during admission. Students must hold relevant proof of Australian degree or equivalent for PG or a minimum selection rank, NCEA Level 3/ IB/ GCE A levels for the bachelor's curriculum to improve their chances. In addition, they must take part in extracurricular activities, and community service and involve in research for some programs to increase their selection probability.

International students coming from diverse countries whose first language is not English must submit a minimum PTE score of 50 and 58 for UG and PG admission respectively. Along with this, the UC expects students to submit IELTS and TOEFL scores. The UC English language requirements are given below:
