URochester acceptance rate 2025 stands at 40.1% which means that out of every 100 student university likely admit around 40 students. This suggests that admission process of U of R are moderately selective.
On other hand Uni of Rochester acceptance rate for international students stands at just 18% which means the competition is extremely tough for international applicants and securing admission.

International students participate in University of Rochester programs from all around the world. The university admitted more than 6,000 undergraduate students from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. According to official figures, among 6,764 students enrolled, 1,529 were international students which is 22.60% of the total. Furthermore, compared to other neighborhoods, there were more members of certain ethnic and racial groups, including White Non-Hispanic, non-resident aliens, Asian non-Hispanic, and Hispanic Latinos.

The University of Rochester expects a cumulative GPA of 3.8 on a 4 scale. Along with GPA, students must submit ACT scores between 31 and 34 and SAT scores between 1390 and 1540. Also, students must submit secondary school records, academic GPA, extracurricular activities records, essays, and teacher’s recommendations to enhance their selection probability.
