Yes, with the University of New Haven acceptance rate of 81%, it is more competitive among the two institutions. University of the Pacific accepts about 95/100 applicants. Whereas, the Uni of New Haven accepts about 81 out of every 100 applicants.

Nonetheless, students must not take it lightly and excel in academics to boost their chances. Apart from this, students who are outstanding in activities outside class also stand a good chance of securing admission.

Western New England University and University of the Pacific are both high ranking universities with National university ranking of #273 and #136 in 2025 respectively according to top ranking publishers. Both National Universities Ranking and Shiksha grading system show that University of Pacific has higher ranking and grading than WNEU. But there are other parameters that can be taken into consideration to know which university is better such as tuition fees, programs offered, scholarships offered, placement opportunities, accommodation facilities and overall student and campus life among some other factors as well.
