To get admission in University of York, students must meet the selection requirement set by the college. The final selection is done on the basis of academic scores and entrance scores. Students must have more than 6.5 overall in IELTS with 6.0 in each section. After selectionon the basis of entrance, students are called for interview round.

International students whose first language is not English must submit the proof of English language proficiency. The University of York accepts the following test are accepted for admission in undergraduate and graduate programs: 

  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (Academic and Online) 

  • IELTS One Skill Retake 

  • PTE Academic 

  • TOEFL IBT 

  • Duolingo (except for Hull York Medical School courses)
