The course is well designed and moot court, debating and class of students are much better than UPES Dehradun. The placement cell of Symbiosis Pune is very active.

In my personal view, I would prefer NIIT University over UPES-Dehradun, for the below mentioned reasons. One of the added bonus is that of the NIIT legacy, belonging to the IT background, NIIT proves to be a strong backbone for NU. It has been in the software development and IT for the past few decades. Apart from big brand names, ABS stands out on delivering quality and commitment. Rarely any institute gives an opportunity on the campus for SIP in renowned houses as well as for final placements. They also provided opportunities to go to abroad in recent SIP. They will surely make you tough professionally till this course ends. Take my words, they won't compromise with attendance. Private hostel has their own rules. And it will be good if you are staying in these private hostel. And also, it will not be safe if you will be out from the hostel after 9 or 10 (It is obvious because UPES has forest around it). And that's why all hostel in Bidholi and Kandoli don't allow students for going outside from the hostels after 9 pm.

I don't know about Jain University, Bangalore so I cannot comment on this. But here in UPES, BBA course is above average.
If you compare placements with the fee, you will not be much happy. But I know some seniors here who have started their own start-ups.
So you will learn a lot of things here.

If you think you will achieve your goal after a drop then you should go for it. But if you have doubt about it, then you should not take the risk. And if you are getting Thapar, then go for it. Its fee is lesser than UPES and it has good placements as well. Thapar has its own reputation. After Thapar, I will prefer UPES.

If you are getting petroleum engineering in UPES, Dehradun, then it will be great for you because UPES provides the best placements for petroleum engineering. And if we talk about the academics of UPES, then that is also good. It has a different pattern.
If we talk about other branches, the placement is above average for them too. For CSE, many good companies visit UPES, like Microsoft, VM Ware, Dell, LnT, IBM, etc.

I will prefer UPES, Dehradun because I know some of my senior from BBA they got good jobs. Some of them are doing work with some startups and of them have set up their own start-up. So according to me it will be more beneficial for you if you do it from UPES, Dehradun.
