The UPSSSC VDO General Knowledge section has following topics as mentioned below: Current Affairs: National and international events, History of India: Ancient, Medieval, and Modern history, Geography: Physical, political, and economic geography of India and the world, Economy: Indian economy, important economic policies, and government schemes, Indian Polity: Constitution of India, political structure, major constitutional bodies, Science and Technology: Basic knowledge of general Science and recent advancements, etc.

The duration of the UPSSSC VDO 2025 written exam is two hours. The Mains exam (2023) was held on April 27, 2025, from 10 am to 12 pm.

No, the UPSSSC VDO result does not guarantee a job to the candidate. The result will be provisional, and the final selection will be based on the merit list that will be published separately after document verification. For those candidates who will clear the written exam, their names will appear on the merit list that will be considered for the VDO post. The UPSSSC VDO job will be provided to those candidates whose names will appear in the UPSSSC VDO merit list. 

There is no limit for appearing in the UPSSSC VDO exam. The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission has no policy regarding the number of attempts a candidates should allowed to appear in the exam. However, the candidates need to fulfil the age limit critera and educational qualification to appear in the UPSSSC VDO exam.
