The candidates who registered for the UPSSSC VDO exam can retrieve theor application/registration number from the official website-upsssc.gov.in. The steps to retrieve the UP VDO application/registration number is given below:

  • Go to the official website
  • Click on the 'Candidate Help' section 
  • Click on ' Know Registration Number' 
  • A form will appear on the screen 
  • Fill out the details asked- Candidate's Name, Father's Name, Date of Birth 
  • Enter the captcha code available on the screen 
  • Click on the search button 
  • The UP VDO registration/application number will appear on the screen

The age limit to appear for the UPSSSC VDO exam is 18 to 40 years. However, the candidates belonging to different categories are provided age relaxation. The age relaxation policy for the UPSSSC VDO exam is given below:

  • Ex-servicemen: 3 years 
  • Sports Categoryy (Skilled Players): 5 years 
  • PwD: 15 years

The cabdidates who are willing to appear for the UPSSSC VDO (Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission Village Development Officer) must fulfil the age limit criteria. The UPSSSC VDO (Gram Vikas Adhikari) age limit criteria is given below:

  • The lower age limt to appear for the UPSSSC VDO exam is 18 years
  • The upper age limit to appear for the UPSSSC VDO exam is 40 years 

Note: The category wise age relaxtion is given to the candidates as per the norm of Indian Government

The candidates need to provide the enlisted document while filling out the UPSSSC VDO application form:

(a) Passed the Intermediate Examination of the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education or any examination recognised as equal thereto.

(b) CCC certificate qualification in computer operator

Note: The candidates can add more eductional qulaification above these two. However, the required documents are must before submitting the application form. The candidates are advised to keep these certificate ready before they fill out the UPSSSC VDO application form.

No, the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission does not conduct the UPSSSC VDO or UP Gram Vikas Adhikari exam every year. The UPSSSC VDO exam was conducted in 2018 which was rescheduled after the cancellation of the exam in June 2023. According to the trends of UPSSSC, the exam is conducted once in five years.

The candidates who want to appear for the UPSSSC (Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission) Village Development Officer (VDO) exam must fulfil the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criterion for the UPSSSC VDO exam are given below:

  • Age: 18 to 40 years (Age Relaxation as per Govt. Regluations)
  • Must have qualified UPSSSC PET 
  • Must hold CCC computer course certification with Hindi typing

The overall difficulty level of UPSSSC VDO exam conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) remains moderate. The section wise difficulty level of the UP VDO exam is given below:

  • Hindi Knowledge & Writing: Moderate 
  • General Intelligence Test/ Reasoning: Easy 
  • General Knowledge: Moderate to Difficult

The UPSSSC (Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission) will release the UPSSSC VDO application form anytime in 2025 along with the UPSSSC VDO notification. The canidadates will be able to apply online for the UP Gram Vikas Adhikari exam by following the steps given below:

  • Go to the official website  
  • Click on the UPSSSC VDO application link  
  • Fill out the personal and educational details  
  • Upload the signature, photograph, and signature  
  • Pay the application fees 
  • Save the application form

There is no recommended dress code by the UPSSSC  in order to appear for the UP VDO exam. However, the candidates taking the exam are advised to do the following thing before appearing for the exam:

  • Attire: Candidates should not wear shoes or footwear with thick soles. Also, candidates must not wear clothes with large buttons or steel buttons to the test centre.
