No, there is no provision for additional benfits to the students who are residents of Varanasi. However, the university may admit students under Employee Quota. Wherein, son/daughter of BHU employees get benefits under the quota. There are 10% of seats of total admission. Additionally, the OBC, ST, and SC quota makes it up to 25%. Hence, there are 48% of seats for the general category candidates. The information mentioned here is taken from the web and hence, is indicative.
