Hi, your percentile is good, you can try Monash, RMIT, LaTrobe etc. University of Melbourne is extremely competitive but you can try applying there too.

No, business analytics and data science are not the same. Business analytics involves statistics, maths and information science. It also teaches you to develop a strategic approach for an organisation. Whereas, the study of data science would teach to design, develop and deploy an algorithm that supports in business decision making. They manage and organise large chunks of data to analyse it. The University of Melbourne has 1-year coursework in business analytics.

Hi Ram,
If you want to defer or postpone your admission you should be asking it directly to the university since it's their decision. Please email La Trobe about your situation and also enquire about any scholarship options if they have. You should also know that banks may take 7 to 20 days to process the loan, some may even approve it within 24 hours. Government banks will take time. You can check with Credila and Avanse education loan. For the rest of the query about deferred admission you have to seriously email the university without wasting further time.

You can not compare two universities like that. Check weather they offer Ph.D. in your stream of study. Normally Ph.D. is a sponsored programme and you will get stipend. If an university offer this, that means an industry has sponsored this Ph.D. and only the industry is paying the stipend. That shows the university has direct industry tie up and that is the best you can try.

Hello Ram,
This is up to the university. You may email them personally and ask them this query. They should revert in a few days time. Seeing your grades, chances of admission are pretty decent.

Hi Tarun,
You can, depending on your academic percentile. About the PTE score, you have to check with the universities, every university has different score requirement. If you have a good academic profile, they can even give you a bridge course in English.
