VIT has a good intake of students, so the student strength is around 10-12k and the majority of the strength is of B.Tech students. More than half of the intake is for B.Tech students only at VIT Pune. You will meet many students from parts of India.

Another great thing about VIT Pune is that we don't have to follow any dress code and the students can dress accordingly to them. Casual and decent clothing is accepted in the college.

There are many PGs and hostels available near the college. Also VIT Pune has their own College hostel which is around 2kms from the college. One can easily find accommodation with a little search and posters are printed of various hostels near the college campus.

VIT Pune is a more reputed college irrespective of its courses. Placements are good with an average package of 4-7 LPA and the highest package is around 26.4LPA. VIIT Pune is also an autonomous college where it has collaborated with VIT to conduct its placements. Hence students in both the colleges will get equal opportunity to go through the recruitment process.
