It was established in 1984 as a self-financing institution called the Vellore Engineering College under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.

The BBA programme costs between INR 1.1 Lacs and INR 1.6 Lacs in total. A 3,000 Indian rupee caution deposit is included in the cost. After all selection processes are finished, candidates must pay the course cost to secure their spot. If an applicant fails to make the required payment within the allotted time, their admission will be revoked. To apply for admission, candidates will also have to pay a registration fee. Yes, Mathematics is compulsory for BCA admission at VIT Vellore. You should have Mathematics in class 12. A pass in Class 12 with Mathematics/Business Mathematics & Statistics / Applied Mathematics as one of the subjects is required for eligibility.

Hence, If you are a general category candidate then, you do not meet the minimum eligibility criteria required to appear for admission to the VIT BTech course.
