Hi Gopinath,
Your rank is not bad so you can get a seat.
VIT does not see the board exam marks, only VITEEE scores. Determine your admission but if you are a board topper, you will get a full fee waiver for all the four years.
So, please attend the counseling.

Yes you can. Study well for JEE Mains and you don't have to stress for VIT.

Hello Naveed,
According to last year's cut-off the closing rank for VIT Vellore is 7000 so it is quite difficult to get VIT, Vellore by this rank. Just wait for the closing rank. But, in VIT University, Chennai last year's closing rank was14000 so it is easy for you. So, you must participate in the counseling.

You may try for WBJEE, IPU CET, UPSEE, and many more government college exams or try in BIT with JEE Mains rank card.

Hi,
Candidates appearing for the VITEEE in 2017 should have secured an aggregate of 60% in physics, chemistry, mathematics / biology in the qualifying examination (12th / intermediate). The average marks obtained in the subjects physics, chemistry and mathematics or biology (PCM / PCB) in 12th (or its equivalent) put together should be 50% for the following categories:
Candidates belonging to SC/ST.For candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
