VNR VJIET offers a 4 year B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering course at the UG level. B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering at VNR VJIET has a tuition fee of around INR 5 Lacs, with approximately 120 seats being offered. Admission is through counselling based on the rank obtained in the Telangana state engineering, agriculture, and medical common entrance test (TS EAMCET).

Admission to VNR VJIET M.Tech is done on the basis of rank secured in GATE or TS PGECET. The rank of overall stream falls between 151-200 out of 200 in india, which is at 4th place in Hyderabad and 5th in Telangana.
While the rank of B.Tech stream alone falls between 101-151 out of 200 in india, which is at 5th place in Hyderabad and 7th in Telangana.

Eligibility for admissions at VNR has mentioned that they have divided the academic seats into two categories. Category A- These seats shall be filled through counseling based on EAMCET rank.
Category B- These seats shall be filled by the institute.
