The difference between JEXPO and VOCLET is that JEXPO is conducted for admission to first-year Diploma courses in engineering and technology. On the other hand, VOCLET is conducted for lateral entry into second-year Diploma courses in engineering and technology.

The VOCLET exam is conducted by the West Bengal Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Council. There is no age limit, but a candidate should be an Indian citizen and have passed or appeared in a 10+2 examination. The VOCLET 2024 application form will be available in online mode only.

Candidates who have passed the Class 10+2 examination or equivalent examination with physics/mathematics/chemistry/computer science/electronics/information technology/biology/informatics practices/biotechnology/technical vocational subject/agriculture/engineering graphics/business studies/entrepreneurship. Passed H.S. (Vocational) examination of the West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development. OR
Passed 10+2 years ITI (continuous) in annual system or symester system (Appearing ITI candidates are not eligible).

VOCLET exam has five subjects namely Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, and General Aptitude.The authority will prepare question paper from all these subjects. Total questions asked in the exam will be100 and duration of the exam is two hours. From each Physics and Chemistry subjects twenty questions will be asked. 10 questions from English and General Aptitude. Also, 40 questions from Mathematics. The medium of the exam is English and Bengali. Candidates can check the syllabus from the official website of VOCLET or from the Shiksha page.
