Candidates were able to select their preferences for the WBJEE 2023 exam centres while filling out the application form. During the application process, the candidates had to select and submit three WBJEE 2023 exam zones in the order of preference. Allotment of exam centres was done based on the preferences selected by the candidates. If the candidate's first preference centre was not available, then they were allotted a centre in the zone that they had submitted as their second preference. Therefore, the order of preference is important while selecting the exam zones of WBJEE.

All qualified candidates can attend WBJEE counselling. If they do not have their required documents at time of registration, they have to submit it before last date. If candidates do not submit it before final date, then their admission will be cancelled.

During the WBJEE counselling process, admissions will be done based on the candidate's rank obtained in the General Merit List. While the general rank will be considered for admissions, the cutoff will also be one of the deciding factors for the allotment of seats. WBJEE admission cutoff will be different for every category, college and course. Therefore, the candidates are advised to check the previous years' cutoffs to know the trends. The opening rank and closing rank for admissions is released through the WBJEE cutoff.

No. All candidates are required to fill out their choice of colleges and courses during the WBJEE counselling. Candidates will not be allowed to advance into the WBJEE seat allotment process if they have not selected their colleges and courses in the order of preference. All of the selection has to be done and submitted before the final date. Since WBJEE seat allotment will be done based on the candidate's rank, preferences and seat availability, the candidates will have to carefully select their choices during the counselling process.

No. If the students meet the WBJEE cutoff, they will not be guaranteed admissions. However, meeting the cutoff of WBJEE will raise the chances of the candidate to be allotted into the course and college of their choice. Along with the cutoff, the authorities will consider various factors for admissions, such as the candidate's category, number of seats available and more. Candidates are advised to check the previous year cutoff trends to know their admission probability and fill out their preferences accordingly.
