Candidates need to secure qualifying marks in NEET UG exam conducted by NTA to participate in the West Bengal NEET counselling process. Since cutoff marks varies from category to category hence applicants need to secure the passing marks in their category. However, Yes, with 450 marks in NEET exam you can secure admission in some of the government colleges in West Bengal. You can opt for government colleges like NRS Medical College, Calcutta State Medical College, Kolkata Medical College and other medical colleges.

West Bengal NEET cutoff is released by the Director-General of Health Services (DGHS) for admission into undergraduate medical courses such as MBBS and BDS programmes.

There are 85 per cent seats reserved for the West Bengal resident candidates. A total of around 2791 MBBS and 509 BDS seats are offered by various medical and dental colleges in West Bengal.

WBMCC organized a stray vacancy round after the Round 3 to fill the vacant seats. This round is conducted only in case there are vacant seats left for candidates. In some cases, if seats remain vacant after the stray vacancy round, an extended stray vacancy round is conducted for the candidates.

WBMCC will organize a stray vacancy round after WB NEET counselling Round 3 to fill the vacant seats. The stray vacancy round is the final round to fill up the vacant NEET UG seats in the state of West Bengal.

The seat surrender of the admitted candidate during the process of Round 1 admission is allowed without any penalty money. The seat surrender of the admitted candidate during the process of Round 2 admission is allowed but with forfeiture of admission fees. Such candidate must apply in person before the admitted college for seat surrender and must receive the server generated Seat surrender letter. The seat surrender is not allowed from Round 3 counseling any further till the counseling process is over. WB NEET seat allotment result for round 1 was released on August 20, 2025. The WB NEET round 2 seat allotment will be out on September 22, 2025. The seat allotment results are declared after each round of counselling. The seat allotment result is declared to inform the candidates about the college and course in which they are eligible to seek admission. After the result announcement, document verification and institute reporting are conducted. The allotment result for different categories is released separately by WBMCC.

The WB Choice Filling and Locking process for round 1 counselling is over while it is ongoing for round 2. The choice filling schedule for each round is mentioned below:

The round 1 and round 2 registration for the WB NEET counselling schedule was released by the WBMCC. The round 1 registration was done between July 31 to August 12, 2025, and round 2 registration could be done between September 2 to 17, 2025.

The registration window for each round opened separately. Registration is the first and foremost step to participate in the counselling process. Candidates need to pay a mandatory counselling application fee and provide necessary documents and details, which have been further shared with the counselling body.

WBMCC releases the WB NEET cutoff after the announcement of NEET result. Candidates need to check the WB NEET cutoff before applying for the targeted college and course (MBBS/BDS). The cutoff score indicates the basic score which makes a candidates eligible to participate in the counselling process. The counselling cutoff for reserved and unreserved categories differ. Therefore, candidates are advised to check and then apply for the WB NEET counselling.
