The Entrance test for the BBA comprises Mathematics English and a bit of GK. There are 50 questions in all. Usually, the split is:
25 to 30 - Mathematics
15 to 20 - English
5 GK
The mathematics syllabus comprises of topics studied in class 10. There are normally questions on Algebra, Logarithms, Number System, basic Trigonometry, Profit Loss etc. The English questions normally ask for sentence correction. These are the kind you would see in a SAT/GMAT book. You can also prepare for the English sentence correction section by practicing sample questions on veritasprep. HIT Haldia is really good when we talk about the placements but mainly in it sector and food technology sector too. Placement is not good in core branches. Affordable in matter of money. Regular focus on extra curricular activity. Fabulous library with large range of books. Good by location. Surrounded by lots of industries like IOCL, HP. Linked with NH too. Widely spread on 45 acres of land. Faculty for first year is not very good. Hostel facility is also very good. Average package is 3.9 Lacs p.a.

Last year the eligibility criteria for BBA was:-
1) Compulsory subject(s) in +2: English & (Math/B. Maths/B. Maths & Eco),
2) Aggregate calculation:English + Math/B. Maths/B. Maths & Eco)+ any 2 marks requirement for application 60%
3) Selection: On the basis of board marks & admission test (50% : 50%)
