In West Bengal, a B.Sc nurse generally has a higher pay than a B.Sc MLT graduate, both in the government and private sectors, as nursing positions often offer a slightly higher salary scale and more career progression opportunities compared to Medical Laboratory Technician roles. B.Sc MLT has average salary of around INR 10,000 to 4 Lakhs per annum.

No, there is no ragging culture inside the campus of NIELIT Kolkata. Ragging in any form or type is banned in the NIELIT campus and special guidelines are made to avoid ragging. Students are penalised for not following the guidelines.

Most of the areas of the academic blocks, hostels, bus stands, and mess are under 24/7 camera surveillance. The institute has taken several measures to ensure safe campus for the students. Violations of the strict measures may result in warnings and serious actions against the accused.
