No, you cannot join UPES Dehradun for its MBA programme without appearing for the accepted entrance examination. To gain admission to this institute, students would need to take one of the following exam after they clear the basic eligibility rules.
- XAT
Students who attempt the previously mentioned exam and attain valid results for the respective exams might be considered qualified for admission.

IMT Ghaziabad official cutoff information are not released on a public platform, and students can view the cutoff using their registered login ID and password. Based on the past years' trend, the XAT 2026 estimated cutoff is in the range of 90 to 92 for the General AI category students.

Yes, apart from CAT, the International Management Institute, New Delhi, also accepts the XAT score for admission to its PGDM courses. Only the shortlisted candidates are invited to the Individual Assessment Process (Essay Writing and Personal Interview, etc.) for final admission. The institute also accepts the GMAT entrance exam for admission.

The Institute does not release the final cutoff publicly and is only accessible through account login to those candidates who appear in the CAT exam.

International Management Institute, Kolkata accepts the XAT entrance exam for admission to the MBA/PGDM programme. In 2024, the required XAT cutoff percentile was 70 for the students belonging to the General AI quota.

XAT cut off different for male and female candidates to promote diversity in the candidate pool. However, the difference in cut offs is not too big. There's usually a difference of 1 or 2 percentile between XAT cut offs for male candidate and female candidate. Infact, the difference is not limited to gender only. The XAT cut offs for engineering students and non-engineering students are also different.

Especially for their MBA programs, an XAT percentile of 60 might not be enough to get admission to the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun. XAT, CAT, and other entrance exam results are typically taken into account by UPES when admitting MBA candidates.
For general category students, the cutoff for UPES's MBA programme often falls between the 70th and 80th percentiles or above. For the General AI category students, the Manipal University XAT cutoff 2023 was 85 percentile for admission to the MBA in Banking and Financial Services, MBA in Human Resources Management, MBA in Marketing, and MBA in International Business courses. For Master of Business Administration (MBA), the XAT cutoff percentile was 80. The University offers MBA admission via its affiliated college called TA Pai Management Institute.
