Admission to PGDM programme is based on a valid CAT/XAT/CMAT score in IMI Kolkata. So candidates must appear for the CAT/XAT/CMAT exam.  XAT 2024 registration is ongoing. Candidates can visist the official XAT website xatonline.in to register for the XAT exam. The XAT 2024 registration last date is Nov 30 2023. Candidates must fill their forms before the deadline to be able to appear in the XAT exam 2024. This year, the XAT exam fee has been increased to INR 2,100.

MICAT selection criteria requires applicants to have a valid score in CAT/XAT/GMAT. Score in the national level exam has a weightage of 20 per cent while preparation of merit list. Additionally, the MBA exam score helps shortlisting candidate for the GE-PI. Candidates have to meet the CAT/XAT/GMAT cutoff scores to be assessed for their performance in Section-B. Candidates whpo do not meet the cutoff score are not evaluated for Section B as well as Section C. Therefore, appearing for the national level MBA entrance exam is mandatory to participate in the MICA PGDM admission process. 

Candidates need to appear for any of the national level the exams, among CAT, XAT or GMAT to participate in the MICA PGDM selection process. Admissions to MICA PGDM is based on shortlists prepared considering the MICAT scores, national level exam scores, GE and PI scores. Candidates filling the MICAT application form have to enter the scores of national level exam. However, if they are yet to appear for the exams, they can add the exam scores later. MICA provides the facility to add exam scores at later stage of the registration process.
