Most of GMAT test takers get score of 400 to 600. Almost Every 2 out of 3. Yes with this score you can try to get admission in these b schools. But it also depend on GD/PI. Many good private universities also accept GMAT score of this range. You can also try for XUB, Great Lakes, ISB, BIMTECH.

I would suggest you to go for IIM Raipur as IIM brings with it self a brandname and should always be preferred above the others.

Hello,
Case of being very weak, take about 2-3 months to get a good grasp of the various topics covered in the XAT. Since XAT happens in January, you have quite a lot of time to prepare. You can spend 2-3 hours on weekdays and double that time on weekends to study daily. Increase that time later on as per required.
