No, candidates can only take this exam in English. The exam body also strictly forbids any use of slangs and informal short forms. Examinees who pull that will be disqualified.

The XIC OET exam will be of one hour. Candidates will get 30 minutes to complete objective section and 30 minutes to complete subjective section. The XET entrance test will be conducted in online mode.

Yes, there are subjective questions in XIC OET test paper. This section is of 50 marks and candidates will get 30 minutes to answer questions. The XET question paper includes 4 questions in this section to test students on media, social values, creativity, etc.

Yes, you can apply for more than one courses in same cycle of XIC OET exam. But, you will have to register for each course separately and pay XET application fee for each course separately as well.

As per official website of Xavier Institute of Communication, the application fee for XIC OET is INR 2500. Candidates must know that this amount also includes GST. The payment can be made via Bank DEBIT / CREDIT Cards / Net banking / UPI. The last date to pay XET application fee 2026 is March 31, 2026.

The government or private colleges you would have to be very clear in terms of your knowledge and intellect. You have to focus upon few things - prepare a good command over language (English and Hindi build a strong vocabulary, be habitual of reading the newspaper daily, scroll the history like of printing, press, media and focus upon current affairs. What is generally asked in exams is related to language (to check how fluent and good you are), general knowledge (try to read all the facts that are existing from past years as these are generally asked like about games, Olympics, International Relations, Rig Veda, Sam Veda
