The XIC Entrance Test consists of one Objective and one Subjective section. Candidates will be given separate time to complete both the sections (30 minutes each). Questions in the objective section will be based on Language Skills, General Knowledge and Knowledge of Media, Logical and Analytical skills. In the subjective section, a total of 4 questions will be asked. The question will be designed to test the aspirants' creativity, social values, writing skills, subject-specific knowledge, etc.

The applications for XIC Entrance Test 2025 is open from March 1 to 31, 2025. Aspirants can apply online on - xaviercomm.org. Applicants must be 35 years of age or younger. They must also have completed 3 years of graduation in the streams of Arts, Commerce, Science, Computers, BMM, BMS, BE, Catering, etc. from a recognised institute. Applicants can also be appearing for their final semester exams (academic year 2024-25).

The XET 2025 results are to be declared on May 5, 2025. Shortlisted candidates must pay their course dsignated fee by May 19, 2025. The procedure to pay the course fee online through the institute's website will be published on the website itself.

No, the XET 2025 results will be available on the institute's official website xaviercomm.org. Candidates only receive their XET admit cards via email that mention their exam dates and timings.

Unlike several other mass comm entrance exams, the admit card for XIC OET is sent to registered candidates on the email IDs that they have provided while filling the application form. They can save and download it from there. In case they don't receive it in their inboxes, they must check their junk or spam mail.

There's no separate registration. However, aspirants have to register on the website of the institute BEFORE they can go on to fill the XIC OET application form. It is a short process which involves providing your name and contact details.

To apply for XIC OET, you must fulfil the following requirements - 

  • You must be 35 years or younger. 
  • You must have completed at least 3 years of graduation in a stream approved by the university (Arts, Commerce, Science, Computers, BMM, BMS, BE, Catering, etc.)
  • You can also be appearing for or awaiting results of the third year of your graduation programme.

The Xavier Institute of Communications (XIC) OET exam is 1 hour and 30 minutes long. The exam has two parts: an objective part with 100 questions worth 100 marks, and a subjective part worth 50 marks. The total marks for the exam are 150. 
 
To qualify for any of XIC's five diplomas, a student must: 
 
  • Have 75% attendance
  • Have an average grade of "C"
To be eligible for the XIC OET exam, candidates must: 
 
  • Have completed three years of graduation in an approved stream in India
