While standardized test like SAT are a common component to get into college applications, Yale University is a little different. The applications won't be considered incomplete without SAT scores because the university evaluates applicants holistically. Yale also looks at various factors such as LOR's, personal essays, soft skills, leadership qualities and many more. Hence, if the applicant emphasizes streghths in these areas then they can compensate for the absense of SAT scores.
