Yes, 1450 is a good SAT score nationally, but it lies below the unofficial range of admissions at Yale. Yale University do not have an official minimum requirement in terms of SAT and ACT scores for admission, but some unofficial sources confirm that, due to high selectivity the admitted students score the highest percentiles. The range of SAT and ACT scores of admitted students lies between 1480 and 1560 on the SAT and 33 and 35 on the ACT. The high selectivity of Yale University demands excellent scores in addition to the relevant experience and expertise in the field of study.

Yale University is highly competitive and it requires Indian students to have an absolutely impeccable application.

So, yes,  Yale's minimum requirements are just the baseline and Indian students score well above that.

Yale has a whole person review and all the requirements are to be met.

Yale's Single Choice Early Action deadline in the Nov 1 each year. Indian students should use it only if Yale is the absolute choice university and you profile is highly competitive and complete.

if any of the mentioned conditions are not met, the students should apply in the regular admissions deadline only.

In total, Oxford is known to admit around 26K students at UG and PG levels. For Harvard University, Yale University and Princeton, the total enrollments remain around 19K to 23K

Only Cornell stays neck to neck to Oxford with around 26K students each year.
