Students must go through the Panjab University CHD-conducted/ national-level entrances and then appear for the university-level selection rounds for final admission at Panjab University.

The mode of Punjab Agricultural University course admissions is online. PAU Ludhiana admissions to various programmes are based on merit and scores of entrance exams. The accepted entrance exams are Punjab Entrance Exam,  Punjab ICAR AIEEA, and others. Candidates applying through the PAU Entrance Exam must first register for the entrance exam.
