Overall, it is a good college. You can take admission.

Placements: There are two ways of getting admission to this college. First, directly through JEE Main, and second, through the BCECE examination conducted by the Government of Bihar. The Mechanical branch has overall good placement, with about 60% placement.

Infrastructure: There are two main academic buildings in this college. Most classrooms have digital smart boards, but only a few teachers teach using them. The hostel has Wi-Fi and 24 hour electricity. There is no ground in this college. The college campus is also very small.

Faculty: A few teachers are very supportive and understand the situations of students. The course curriculum is decided by BEU. We can pass the semester exams easily. For the 25th batch, semester exams are conducted on time, but there are always delays in the results. Results are published 4 months after the examination.

Other: The placement ratio should be increased. Students should gain practical knowledge rather than only book knowledge. Semester results must be published on time.

Placements: There are 60 students in each branch in the first year. The highest package is 15 LPA. Many students are placed in TCS, with packages of approximately 10 LPA in 2026. Internships are available at NTPC, IBM, IRCTC, JP Morgan, and other companies. Top roles include Software Development. It is an affordable government college with growing placement opportunities. Some students are placed in Microsoft after gaining two years of experience and then move to companies like Microsoft and Google.

Infrastructure: BCE Patna has a campus spanning 10 acres. The campus has Wi-Fi and 24/7 electricity. Labs, library, and classrooms have internet access. Sports include badminton, cricket, and table tennis. Sports are held in January-February at the district level through Kaushal Manthan. The hostel has good infrastructure. The mess is maintained by the mess community, mainly seniors who take responsibility after admission.

Faculty: Teachers are well-educated and mainly IITians. Some teachers are from BITS Pilani and international institutions as well. Since it is not an IIT, students have to work on their skills for placement. You will be called an engineer like other engineering students.

Other: I have taken Computer Science and Engineering, and I got 92 percentile. It has an affordable fee structure of only Rs. 50,000, with an 8-acre campus. It is a trending course. Some students get 10 LPA from this college. A fresher party is held every year. Scholarships are provided to EBC, BC, SC, and ST students as a post-matric scholarship. Hackathons, sports, singing, dancing, and clubs are also available.
