B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2029

My experience at Aliah University as an Electrical Engineering student.
Placements: Around 30 percent of students get placed in the previous year. The highest package is 7 LPA, the lowest package is 1.5 LPA, and the average package is approximately 3 LPA. Students get internships by themselves, and some teachers help by sharing resources. The offered roles are power system engineer, technical support, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is very good and well-maintained. There is Wi-Fi and AC in the library. Labs are also okay. Hostel facilities are good, very clean, and well-maintained, but there is no Wi-Fi connection in the hostel. There is a first aid medical service in our university.
Faculty: Teachers in our department are well-established in their careers. They are helpful but also very strict with students. The curriculum is market-relevant. If students prepare themselves for jobs, they will be market-ready after 4 years. Exams are a little tough. The passing percentage of students is 70 percent.

My BCA journey at Aliah University.
Placements: Approximately 30 percent of students from previously passed out batches are placed on campus, the highest package is 8 LPA and the lowest is 1.5 LPA, top recruiting companies are Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, TCS, etc., 50 percent of students got internships, and top offered roles are software tester, app developer, web developer, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is super clean, Wi-Fi-connected library and lab, but no Wi-Fi in the hostel, there are water purifiers and washing machines in the hostel, decent types of no good, not much bad, there is a first-aid medical service at the university, and PC in the computer lab needs to be changed.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are very helpful and supportive, but some of them are the same in opposite, the course curriculum is market-relevant, but it also needs some modifications, if students prepare by themselves then they will be market-ready, and semester exams are not much easy and not much difficult.

B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2029
4.8

Good college with very helpful faculty and teachers, and friendly students.
Placements: In the mechanical engineering department, about 70 to 80 percent of students are placed. The highest package is about 9 -10 LPA, the lowest package is 3-4 LPA, and the average package is 4-5 LPA. Top recruited companies include TCS, Wipro and Cognizant. Nearly 50% students got internships in companies like TCS and Tech Mahindra. The top roles offered in our course, the mechanical engineering department, are maintenance engineer.
Infrastructure: Our department has good facilities like a well-equipped lab, smart class with a projector, high-speed Wi-Fi and a good library. Hostel rooms are very clean. The mess food is average. Medical facilities and sports -+options are provided. Overall, the infrastructure is quiet and satisfying for students.
Faculty: Our faculty members are very helpful, qualified and very knowledgeable, and their teaching style is clear and student-friendly. Semester exams are moderately difficult but manageable with regular study. The pass percentage is generally high, as most students perform well with proper guidance.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because this course offers a good career. The best thing about the course is the balance between theory and practical learning.

Good college with very helpful faculty, teachers, and friendly students.
Placements: Our seniors from Mechanical Engineering got placements. Last year, almost 60% of the seniors were placed. Their highest package was around 8-10 LPA (Lakhs Per Annum), and the average package was around 3-4 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro, etc., visited our college to recruit. Overall, the placement process is skill-based but is improving every year.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. Wi-Fi, classrooms and a useful library are available. Hostel rooms are clean and comfortable. Mess food is average good. Basic medical support and sports facilities like football and cricket games are available. The campus environment is peaceful and suitable for study.
Faculty: The faculty members in my department are helpful. Most teachers explain topics clearly and are supportive during labs and projects. The curriculum is relevant and covers both theoretical and practical aspects. Semester exams are of a moderate to difficult level, if you study regularly, passing isn't hard. Overall, the academic environment is disciplined and student-friendly.
Other: I chose this course because I love Mechanical Engineering and all of those. The hands-on labs, helpful environment and affordable fees make the college a good choice. The best thing about the course is the balance between theory and practical learning. Overall, my experience has been positive.

Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) - Batch of 2028

BCA at Aliah University, my true thought.
Placements: I am a 4-year BCA student at Aliah University Department of Computer Science and Engineering. In my course or in my department, approximately 40-50% students are placed by on-campus placement. The highest package was 8 LPA, the lowest package was 1.5 LPA, and the average package was around 3 LPA. Basically, most of our students get internships through the resources provided by the teachers or by themselves. The top recruiting companies for our department are TCS, Wipro, HCL, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, etc. The top roles offered in our course are software developer, It consultant, Data analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: Labs are okay, but lab maintenance is bad and needs an updated device in the lab. Conditions of the classrooms are good. The library is air-conditioned and has a 24/7 Wi-Fi facility, but it needs more books. There is a lack of books. The hostel facility is super, but there is no Wi-Fi and CCTV support in the hostel.
Faculty: In my department, students find some teachers very helpful and supportive, but some teachers are the opposite. The course curriculum is very helpful and market-relevant. If students are serious about their careers, they will be industry-ready by the course. The semester exams in college are moderate. The passing percentage of students is 95%. The review for faculty will be mixed because some of them are very dedicated to their work, but some are lazy. Students got some very helpful teachers, but some are not helpful.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in computer Science. The best things about my course are that it teaches us all the core concepts of CS. Lab classes need improvements. Need more extracurricular activities, events, etc.

B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2025

Good infrastructure and helpful faculty, placements need a boost.
Placements: Placements are average overall, but they depend a lot on the course. For B.Teach and technical courses, chances are better. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys visit, and packages can go from 3 LPA to 8-10 LPA for top students.
Infrastructure: The university has good infrastructure for my course, with well-equipped laboratories, spacious classrooms, and a library stocked with relevant books. Most academic buildings have Wi-Fi and basic digital facilities to support learning. Hostel rooms are clean, furnished with study tables and cupboards, and provide a safe environment with 24/7 security. The hostel has drinking water, common areas, and a mess for daily meals, though food quality could be improved. Overall, the facilities are adequate and comfortable for both study and stay.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified, many with PhDs or from reputed institutes, and most are approachable. The curriculum is relevant, especially for technical courses, and follows industry standards. Exams are held on time, and the evaluation is fair. Semester pattern is followed, with internal assessment and lab work included.
Other: I am from the B.Tech Mechanical Engineering batch of 2025. I chose this course because I have always been interested in machinery, manufacturing processes, and problem-solving in the engineering field. The best things about my course are the practical-oriented subjects. I wish the course could include more industrial visits, internships, and updated software training to match current industry requirements. The campus has an active academic environment with occasional technical events and cultural programs. The student crowd is diverse and friendly. Scholarships are available for eligible students, and there are opportunities for extracurricular activities like sports and student clubs.
