{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}Is B.E./B.Tech at Amrita School of Engineering a good choice? Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the key points:Pros:* Excellent infrastructure: Well-equipped labs, projectors, and Wi-Fi connectivity in classrooms and hostels.* Good placement record: Approximately 85-99% of students get placed, with top recruiting companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Cisco.* Relevant coursework: The curriculum is updated regularly to match industry requirements, making students industry-ready.* Supportive faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable, helpful, and patient, providing guidance and assistance whenever needed.* National-level fest: The college hosts a national-level festival called Vidyut, which is exciting and lively.* Strong corporate relations: The college has a dedicated Corporate and Industrial Relations department that helps students secure internships and placements.Cons:* Limited internship opportunities: While some students get internships, it's not a guarantee, and the number is around 40-50%.* Strict hostel rules: Rules for girls' hostels are particularly strict, limiting freedom and flexibility.* Poor food quality: The mess food is generally considered average, and some students prefer to eat outside.* Limited sports facilities: The college lacks a playground, and sports facilities are basic.Overall, B.E./B.Tech at Amrita School of Engineering seems to be a good choice for students looking for a well-rounded education and good placement prospects. While there may be some areas for improvement, the college's strengths outweigh its weaknesses.
