Amrita- the brief behind the fame.
Placements: So, the total percentage of students placed in my college is 90–95%. The highest package is reported to be 65 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. The average is said to be around 6–11 LPA. The top recruiters are Bosch, Dell, Intel, Cisco, TCS, Microsoft, L&T, and Flipkart. Around 40–50% of students in my course got internship offers. Infosys is the leading company. The top roles offered in my course are Product Manager, Electronics Engineer, Communication Engineer, Software/IT roles, and Hardware Engineer.
Infrastructure: The campus has its own Wi-Fi, for which you are given access with your college email ID and a unique password. You can change it according to your preference. There are a lot of classrooms for various disciplines. The campus is equipped with a library with a wide variety of subjects, as well as non-technical materials like magazines and novels to read. There are also various labs associated with different purposes where ideas are executed with guidance and supervision. The hostel is equipped with hot water facilities and lifts to move between floors, as well as various sports facilities.
Faculty: Teachers here are knowledgeable, with many faculty members being actively involved in research on various topics. They are supportive and helpful to students with doubts and to students in need. The course curriculum is also relevant and adjusted according to the current in-demand skills and requirements for placements or internships. The curriculum makes students ready to face the job market and also develops confidence from within. The semester exams are also not really hard or notorious to crack. Timely preparation and focus will help you pass. The pass percentage is around 40%.

Overall, it's a good experience. If you are focused on academics, it opens many opportunities.
Placements: Placements are good for the engineering branch. For physical sciences, placements are moderate. Mostly MNCs like Infosys and TCS used to come. I come from the CS and IT field, so companies come for software roles and rarely for out-of-domain roles like data analyst.
Infrastructure: Hostels are nice. There are 3 hostels for girls: Aditi, Mytheri, and Gargi. In this, I stayed in both Aditi and Mytheri. Mytheri is an old hostel without a balcony. Aditi is a new hostel. Single rooms have tables, lights, and cupboards, and wardens are friendly.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. Mostly PPT-based. For us, it is mostly theoretical-based. Practicals used to be less. Semester exams are moderate to hard. It's easy to pass with internal marks. Lab exams are separate. If you are good with coding and you enjoy it, it will be easier for you.
Other: I chose the course because I like mathematics, and data science is a completely new field that I like. The campus looks great with a huge ground.

My experience in this college.
Placements: The placement environment was good enough. The placement cell of the college was also good. A separate placement cell was established in the college for student placements. All types of companies visited the college and offered packages to students. The average package was 4 LPA. The highest package was 33 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Deloitte, Amazon, HDFC, ICICI, and Infosys visited the college. They conducted tests, group discussions, and interview sessions. Students had to clear all the rounds for selection. They offered packages based on students' qualifications and performance. Internships were also offered by the college to provide on-field experience.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities were good. Security was maintained throughout the day, and food was available at all times. The food was fresh and healthy. Students were provided with proper facilities to perform well. The hostel Wi-Fi service was good.
Faculty: Faculty of the college were very good and helpful. They knew that students would gain better knowledge and be able to concentrate if interactive modern teaching methods were used. They guided students throughout the course, helping them achieve their targets and become the best version of themselves. They were very friendly and always ready to clear students' doubts. College followed a semester examination system. We had to appear for 2 end-semester exams and 2 mid-semester exams every year. Marks were also allotted for assignments and attendance. The exam level was easy to moderate. The course began with the basics of business management and business functions. Market research and case studies were provided during the course to help candidates understand current market scenarios and business conditions. This helped students understand how an enterprise functioned in real market conditions.

Review of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham - Amritapuri Campus.
Placements: Companies looked for skilled candidates with certified courses and skills like GMP, GLP, and ChemDraw, which were mandatory. So, placement concentrated on providing such skills rather than picking up companies for recruitment. Approximately 49-56% of recruitment came from companies like KELTRON, Pidilite Industries, and Monsanto.
Infrastructure: Students were permitted to use two-wheelers to arrive at the campus, but they were restricted by safety guidelines. A student vice president was appointed to address the issues of students in common.
Faculty: Professors tried to build a deep connection with the students. This, in turn, helped us have good connectivity with them, like sharing our personal trauma and finding solutions too. Questions in exams were prepared by board members of University. So they set them at a mid-level of toughness. Professors gave confidence by encouraging us to question in class if we had doubts.
Other: Conclaves, cultural fests, and many more events occurred on campus at the advice of the campus head. They must work hard to satisfy the students' proposals.

Good campus and average placements.
Placements: About 60 percent of students got placed in the AI department. The lowest package is 4 LPA while the highest is 30 LPA. Amazon, NetApp, and Guidewire are a few of the top companies hiring in our course. 70 percent of the students got internship. Top roles are like data analyst and software engineer.
Infrastructure: Facilities are very good everywhere. Mess food is subjective. Wi-Fi Facilities are also good, and rooms are spacious. Mostly South Indian food is available all around. Canteen food also tastes better compared to mess food. The library is huge, and thousands of books are available.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified. Here, the course is relevant. Students become industry-ready. Semester exams are of average difficulty. Pass percentage is above 95 percent. The curriculum is AI and CS combined, and vast other subjects are also taken. Teaching quality is also good.
Other: I chose this course because AI is future. Events are also enjoyable. Campus is great.

A good college experience.
Placements: The placement cell is helpful and provides training programs, aptitude classes, and mock interviews. The campus has opportunities with several companies every year in the IT sector as well as the core sector. Those students who prepare properly and have good academic records have relatively good chances of getting placed. Placements are good.
Infrastructure: The college has a supportive faculty, good infrastructure, clean classrooms, and well-equipped laboratories. The campus is providing a positive learning environment with technical, cultural, and sports activities. Overall a nice college in terms of academics and overall development.
Faculty: The semester examinations are not too hard and are mostly conceptually based and not just for memorisation. Students prepare well for the final exams by undertaking internal assessment, assignments, quizzes and lab assessment. Regular attenders and good students can get good marks. The evaluation process is fair and transparent.
Other: I am a 2024-2028 batch B. Tech ECE student. I selected this course because of my interest in electronics and VLSI. The class has a balance of theory and practical labs. I wish that there were more industry projects and internship opportunities. The campus is clean, there is a peaceful atmosphere, and technical and cultural events are organised periodically. Scholarships and extra-curricular activities are also offered for certain qualified students.
