With SynHERgy: AI-Driven Innovation for Women Empowerment Event, India’s first AI-Augmented Multidisciplinary University, Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh (CU UP), has taken a landmark stride in shaping a progressive, inclusive, and technologically empowered future for women in the state.

With SynHERgy: AI-Driven Innovation for Women Empowerment Event, India’s first AI-Augmented Multidisciplinary University, Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh (CU UP), has taken a landmark stride in shaping a progressive, inclusive, and technologically empowered future for women in the state. In one of its largest and most impactful events, the university welcomed Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh Smt. Anandiben Patel Ji, who formally launched the ‘NARI’ Scheme (Nurturing AI Revolution for Inclusion - Women in Tech), which is an initiative designed to build a women-led technological revolution across Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, she also inaugurated the Centre for Universal Business and Entrepreneurship, & the high-tech Girls’ Hostel at the campus.

During the event, the Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh said, the heart of this initiative lies in the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, where Nari Shakti stands as one of the four foundational pillars as said by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi. By aligning with this mission, Chandigarh University Uttar Pradesh has committed itself to creating opportunities for women in startups, research, healthcare, academics, and AI-driven innovation - making sure that women remain central to the state’s digital progress.

Launch of CUBE - Centre for Universal Business and Entrepreneurship

At Chandigarh University, UP, Centre for Universal Business and Entrepreneurship - CUBE was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh, in advancing its mission to boost women-based entrepreneurship. This initiative to support the conversion of ideas to a startup journey with Capital mobilization, incubation support, and a special 200-hour women founder program called ‘CUBE Track’ with a focus on business design, go-to-market strategy, and compliance. Along with this, with a mission to provide incubation support to over 50 women-led startups each year through CUBE, the seed support pool will offer 5 lakhs to 10 lakhs in funds per startup for annual support to over 30 women-led ventures.


All this will be with connections to angel investors, VC firms, peer mentoring circles, and market access. CUBE aims to provide at least a two-year survival rate for 40% of incubated startups.

With major government schemes, like Mudra, Stand-Up India, and the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP), the CUBE is integrated with, allowing faster capital access and accelerated entrepreneurial growth.

 

NARI Scheme - Nurturing AI Revolution for Inclusion (Women in Tech)

An annual budget of ₹2.20 crore is dedicated towards the NARI scheme by the Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh Campus. Its primary objective is to empower women with AI Skilling & Training, Startup Incubation Support, Health & Wellness Initiatives & Leadership and Professional Development.  And within the next three years, the scheme aims to train 1,500 women in advanced tech skills, support 150 women-led startups & conduct health screenings for 2000 women. The NARI scheme also aims to strengthen the women-led tech ecosystem across Uttar Pradesh, by perfectly aligning with the Mission Shakti & the state’s Startup Policy, with the capacity to directly benefit 600 - 800 women every year. 

 

Honorable Governor of UP, Smt. Anandiben Patel Ji Inaugurates CU UP’s Tech-Driven Residential Facility for Women

The university’s ultra-modern, technology-driven residential facility for female students - a first-of-its-kind initiative in Uttar Pradesh inaugurated by the Honorable Governor of UP, Smt. Anandiben Patel Ji. A secure, future-ready residence is equipped with AI-based facial recognition, round-the-clock smart surveillance, digital access, wellness support, and student-friendly communal spaces, built at a cost of ₹250 crore. With a current capacity of 480 beds, the hostel is set to expand to 4,000 beds within the next five years. In its very first year, CU UP has rapidly established itself as a model of modern educational infrastructure.

 

 

HPV Vaccination Drive Launched at CU UP

Maintaining its commitment to women’s health, Hon’ble Governor Anandiben Patel inaugurated the HPV Vaccination Drive at CU UP to protect women from cervical cancer. She reinforced the critical need for awareness, timely vaccination, and healthcare prioritization - marking a significant step toward building a healthier, cancer-free society for women.
