JEE Main Mock Tests
NTA has released JEE Main mock tests on its official website. Candidates can take the mock tests regularly and prepare for the upcoming examination. Candidates do not have to log in to the official website to access the online JEE Main mock test. Candidates have to choose the exam and select the paper to take the JEE Main mock test. While practicing the mock tests candidates can also download last year's jee mains paper available in pdf format. JEE Main Question Paper Pattern and Marking Scheme
To prepare for JEE Main 2024, candidates must have a clear idea about the question paper pattern and marking scheme. Candidates can look at the JEE Main question paper pattern to understand the distribution of questions across three subjects – Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and marks allotted to each. For each correct answer, four marks are allotted and for each wrong question, -1 mark is deducted. No marks are deducted for unanswered or unattempted questions.

Paper 1 has 75 questions where Physics Chemistry and Mathematics, each section has 25 questions. Out of 25 questions, 20 are MCQs and five are numerical value questions. You must answer all 5 numerical value-type questions. All 20 multiple-choice questions are compulsory. Complete all 75 questions in 3 hours.
As per the sequence of subject/section in JEE Main, Mathematics is the first section followed by Physics and Chemistry. However, students have the option of appearing questions from any section based on their preference. During the actual exam, students are provided the instructions on the computer screen to navigate between one section to other. Students also have the option to skip the next question without appearing the current as well as moving back to the previous question. There are two question types in JEE Main exam. Multiple choice questions and numerical ability questions. In MCQ, every question has 4 options with only 1 correct answer. Select the correct option. In numerical ability question type, no options are there. Solve them and write answer using keyword and mouse.
Students who are preparing for JEE Main exam are advised to first cover the entire JEE Main syllabus. Covering only the high weightage chapters would decrease their chances of getting full/high score in JEE Main exam. Only after covering the entire syllabus, students can check most important chapters for JEE Mains.
NO, it is compulsory to attempt all questions in the JEE Main exam. The JEE Main exam has negative marking and candidates must answer only those questions for which they know the correct answer. Students must note that there are no minimum marks in JEE Main that students need to score. Students gets All India Rank based on the marks they secure in exam and gets admission based on that rank.
