How to Prepare in One Month?
By this time, candidates must have grasped the latest NET exam pattern 2025 and completed the NTA NET syllabus 2025 as prescribed by the University Grants Commission. It may be noted here that the last one month prior to the exam is not the time to start anything new. Have a look at the best prep tips and strategies below to prepare for the exam in one month.
Preparing a concrete timetable
The first and foremost step to start preparations a month before the exam is to prepare a concrete 30-day timetable or study plan. The one-month study plan should include all the important topics concerning the subject. Paste the timetable on the wall of your study room so that you shall not miss out on any activity or plan.

Frequent revision
The last month prior to the exam should be devoted to the frequent revision of the important topics. By this time, candidates must be aware of the time required to revise a particular topic. Utilise this knowledge to devise a proper strategy for the revision of all the topics. On average, candidates should devote at least six to seven hours for revision.
Solve UGC NET mock test
The preparation in one month must involve the solving of the UGC NET mock tests 2025. Candidates should attempt at least one mock test a week. This will help candidates in knowing the types of questions asked in the exam along with their difficulty level. Moreover, solving the mock test will also help candidates in time management and accuracy.
Practice previous years’ papers
Apart from mock tests, candidates should practice as many NTA UGC NET previous years’ papers as they can. Solving the question papers will help candidates in understanding the exam pattern and structure more clearly. Moreover, this will also enable them to know their weak and strong areas.
Prioritise high weightage topics
It is also crucial for candidates to practice high-weightage topics, including teaching aptitude, research aptitude, and reasoning ability for Paper 1. On the other hand, for Paper 2, give more importance to the difficult questions with greater marks allotted.
Improvise your weak areas
After practicing the mock tests and previous years' question papers, candidates get to know their strong areas wherein they score better and their weak areas wherein they fail to achieve any score. Candidates should analyse the solved papers and tests carefully to get to know their weak areas. Once candidates get familiar with the areas of difficulty, they can work to improvise them. This will ultimately enable them to avoid the same mistakes on the exam day and hence, increase their scores.
Stay focused
The last month before the exam could be exhausting for some candidates. This time requires them to retain their calm and stay focused. Acting lazy and skipping the planned study course might lead to reduced scores on the exam. So, stick to the devised study plan and focus on completing the same.
