Still, it's a good college with a gym, library, & infrastructure, but placements should be improved.
Placements: The placement percentage of students in my course at my college is very low, with a below-average package. However, MBA students have a good placement percentage and decent packages. The highest package, to my knowledge, is 8 LPA, the lowest is 2.5 LPA, and the average is around 4–5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, Infosys, etc. Around 30–40% of students get internships at companies like Flipkart, Wipro Infotech, and others. Top roles offered are Software Engineer and Team Head.
Infrastructure: The gym and library are very good. The department is average. The hostel is good but has limited seats. Only students with high marks have a strong chance of getting a seat. There is a big ground with good courts for basketball and badminton, plus football and cricket grounds. The mess food is average in quality and cheap, at Rs. 100 for 3 meals. There is a central university hospital with good medical facilities. Wi-Fi is available across the campus with very good speed.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. They teach us very well. The course curriculum is not fully accurate but is moderately relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams in this college are not very tough. If you study moderately, you can pass them, and the pass percentage is around 60%.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in coding. The best thing about my course is working while sitting on a PC. I wish our course focused more on our subjects from the first year. Utsav, Holi, Diwali, and many other events are organized. Connectivity is good with the airport and the city. Scholarships are provided by the state government as it is a central university. Extracurricular activities include dancing, speech events, event management, and other activities.

In the end, university is so good. It's a central university.
Placements: Most of the top recruiting companies are government companies. Some private firms also come for placements, but there are some placement issues with every department. Most placements are in the UIET department, which is the engineering department.
Infrastructure: Food and hostel facilities are affordable. Wi-Fi is available, and the mess is connected to the hostel. Mess food costs Rs. 100 for three meals a day. The major reason to join the hostel is that it is cheap, clean, and has facilities like water, labs, a canteen, medical staff, and other facilities. All of the things in university are good.
Faculty: Exams are decent, with hard checking. There is limited time to complete the paper. You need to prepare well in advance and have good writing skills because the exams can be tough. In Hindi, the papers can be very difficult.
Other: You'll love the campus.

M.A. in Sociology - Batch of 2026

Academic and campus review of BBAU, Lucknow.
Placements: Placement is modest. Most students generally opt for government jobs rather than private jobs. They have been serving as assistant professors, PCS officers in the state government, etc. Most students work on their own to get placed. There is little help from university, although there is a placement cell in university.
Infrastructure: Hostel accommodation is provided on the basis of merit, distance, and category of the student. These three parameters are used as the basis for providing hostel facilities. Hostels have rooms with basic facilities like electricity, study desks, and 24/7 Wi-Fi service. A mess is available in each hostel, and there is also a canteen. Medical facilities are provided free of cost to university students. There is ample infrastructure for sports and gaming activities, along with separate male and female gyms.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and well-qualified in their fields of study. The teaching style is good. Two mid-semester exams and one end-semester exam are conducted to assess the capability of students in their relevant subjects. 75% attendance is mandatory for appearing in the end-semester exams.
Other: I chose Sociology because I was interested in the subject. The best thing about my course is that the syllabus is aligned with UGC NET and UPSC exams. Cultural events and connectivity drives are conducted at the university. Eligible students also get state and national scholarships.

BBA LL.B. (Hons.) - Batch of 2028

Absolutely satisfied because of the faculty and peaceful environment.
Placements: There is a placement cell in my department, and a head has been assigned for it. Various law firms hire students from the 5th year itself on the basis of their merit. Almost 50-60 percent of the students got internships in my course. The highest package is 6 LPA. There is an internship cell.
Infrastructure: The environment of the hostel is quite peaceful. A library has been provided in the hostel and department itself. The security of the girls is a priority. There are Wi-Fi facilities both in the hostel and in the department itself. The library is open every day.
Faculty: The teachers and scholars are highly qualified. They teach at the best level and provide quite helpful notes. Doubt-clearing sessions are also being held. No favouritism exists here. There is a sense of quality amongst everyone.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to be a lawyer and I find this field to be more suitable for my career. Events and fests are conducted from time to time. I wish the timing for the girls' hostel could be extended to at least 10.

B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2027
4.0
3.0Placements4.0Infrastructure4.0Faculty5.0Crowd & Campus Life4.0Value for Money
Dissatisfied with B.Tech department infrastructure & facilities, along with poor placement packages.
Placements: It would be difficult to mention the exact percentage of placed students, but placements do occur on campus. In my department, the highest package goes up to 6-7 LPA. The lowest package is 1.7 LPA offered by Lulu Malls Private Ltd., while the average package ranges between 3-4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, L&T Electrical, etc. The college does not provide any internships. Students search and apply on their own. Few courses and hackathons take place on campus, organised by Samsung Innovation Campus in an MOU with University, which provides certificates to each participant. I am not aware of the roles in which students were placed.
Infrastructure: Labs are decent with all the necessary equipment for practical knowledge. The classroom infrastructure is simple, with no elevated structure classes. The department infrastructure is smaller. Gautam Buddha Central Library is present on the campus, with a seating capacity of 400 students at a time and a collection of more than Rs. 60,000 books covering all genres. Hostels are excellent, with Wi-Fi and electricity available 24/7, rooms with ceiling fans, study tables, single-size beds, and wall-mounted almirahs separate for both roommates. Food quality in the mess is average. Medical facilities are available at the University Health Centre. Sports and games tournaments occur very actively at the University.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in nature and well-qualified, mostly being Ph.D. holders from IITs and NITs. They are knowledgeable and explain concepts in depth. Except for a few, all teachers are brilliant at teaching. The course curriculum is sufficient for gaining core knowledge of electrical equipment and power systems. It prepares students for industry requirements. The information provided in lectures is directly applicable in the real world. Semester exams are not very difficult. But the grading system and checking are a little tough. Although most students pass, a few may face difficulties.
Other: There are only 10-15 students in the final-year batch. After admission through the CUET exams, the number increased as University gained recognition. My batch currently has 44 students. My junior batch has all 60 seats filled. I chose this course because I wanted to study electrical machines, power supply, power systems, etc. The course does not become boring, as each semester includes interesting and knowledgeable subjects. The department size could be increased, and smart boards can be installed. Events, cultural fests, and programs occur regularly in the auditorium. Various activities also take place at the department level.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com. Hons.) - Batch of 2027
3.2
3.0Placements4.0Infrastructure3.0Faculty3.0Crowd & Campus Life3.0Value for Money
Affordable education with good infrastructure and below-average placement support.
Placements: I belonged to the B.Com (Hons) batch at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow. Placement opportunities are average. The highest package offered is around 4 LPA-5 LPA, the lowest package is about 1.8 LPA-2 LPA, and the average package stood at approximately 2.5 LPA-3 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies that visited the campus included TCS, Infosys (support roles), HDFC Bank, etc. About 40-50 percent of students managed to get internships mostly in banks. Many students also secured internships on their own through online platforms. The top roles offered are Accounts Executive, Junior Accountant, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University is quite good and well spread across a large green campus. Classrooms for B.Com (Hons) are spacious and well-ventilated. The university has a central library with a good collection of commerce, management, and reference books along with reading halls. Wi-Fi facility is available on campus. Hostel facilities are decent with separate hostels for boys and girls. Rooms are clean and basic amenities like water and electricity are provided. The mess food quality is average and manageable while canteen facilities are available. Medical facilities, sports grounds, and indoor and outdoor games are available.
Faculty: Most of the teachers in the B.Com (Hons) department are qualified, experienced, and knowledgeable in their subjects. Some faculty members are very helpful and explain concepts clearly while a few rely more on theoretical teaching. The course curriculum is mostly theory-oriented and covers core commerce subjects like accounting, economics, taxation, and finance. However it has limited practical exposure so students need to work on additional skills to become industry-ready. Semester exams are easy and are based on the syllabus taught in class. With regular attendance and proper study exams can be cleared easily.
