Candidates who have completed Class 12 with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 50% aggregate (47.5% aggregate for SC/ ST) are eligible to apply for Bihar Animal Sciences University BVSc programme. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission. Besides, candidates must also have a valid score in NEET for admission.
Yes, candidates with a valid score in JEE Main can get admission in BTech programme of BASU Patna. However, it is not mandatory to have a JEE Main score. Candidates can also get admission in BTech with BCECE entrance exam score. Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board conducts pen and paper based mode test for admission to agriculture and horticulture Science courses.
There are a total of 40 seats in BTech programme of BASU Patna. The university fills 85% of the approved seats (i.e. State Quota Seats) from the candidates who are Bihar domicile through BCECE Board, Patna. The remaining 15% seats are filled-in on All India Basis by the ICAR New Delhi. Candidates are offered seats based on JEE Main or BCECE scores.
Candidates must complete a master's degree in the subject concerned with at least 70% marks in aggregate or CGPA 7.0/10.0. There is relaxation of 5% in the aggregate for SC/ ST category candidates. Such aspirants need to complete their master's degree with at least 65% marks in aggregate or OGPA 6.5 out of 10.0 to apply for PhD programme.
