Hi,
The correspondence mode of study is ideal for candidates who for some reason are not able to attend regular classes. The distance education mode of study is generally in the annual system of education and grants student a maximum period of 5 years to complete all the requirements of the curriculum. IGNOU, New Delhi is very well known for providing distance education courses in a lot of subjects. Apart from Indira Gandhi National Open University, some other institutes which offer M.A. Sociology in distance mode are:
Center for Distance and Open Learning, Jamia Millia Islamia University
School of Open Learning, University of Delhi
Annamalai University
Karnataka State Open University
Nalanda Open University
Hope this helps.
