Dr. Abdul Haq Urdu University offers admission solely on the basis of merit. The eligibility criteria varies for each course. However, the admission to all courses is based on the merit acquired in the qualifying exam as well as scores obtained in the course-level entrance exam. Candidates who wish to apply to AHUUK, must fulfil the course-specific eligibility criteria.

Dr. Abdul Haq Urdu University offers admission to several UG and PG courses. Admission to all these courses is based completely on the merit. Some courses also require an entrance exam in order to secure admission. AHUUK Kurnool only accepts Andhra Pradesh PGCET and APICET scores for entrance-based course admissions. MA, MSc, MSW, MCom, and MBA admissions are based on TANCET scores.

Abdul Haq Urdu University offers scholarships to the students belonging to the Backward Classes, SC, ST, Minority, and Economically Backward Class (EBC) are the beneficiaries. The university is empowered with the facility for streamlining Fee Reimbursement and Scholarships disbursement in line with the online scholarship portal “Jnanabhumi” of the Government of Andhra Pradesh and the Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Department
