Best time of my post graduation with knowledge, education, and friends .
Placements: During my session, only 5 to 9 companies offered placements, in which 5 to 10 students were placed with the package of 4 to 5 lacs per annum. Placements are noteworthy at this university. In my class, only one of my batchmates gets placement with the package of 10 lacs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was good, but there was no library, though there was a computer lab. In a bachelor's course, there is a capacity of 200 students. All facilities are available instead of washrooms for boys, which is disgusting and nasty and no maintenance of washrooms is there.
Faculty: The management of the university is good. In my session, it was Dr. J. K. Jain, sir. He is a really great professor to teach us every time they give us daily life examples related to their subject and more helpfully, he inspires us every time some of the professors are of our age and understand us and our conditions and hormonal changes. With this, they are really friendly with us. So I like this university.
Other: We are enjoyed it a lot I can say that my post-graduation session is best time in my life and I really miss that. It competes with Delhi culture. In fest and cultural programs, the biggest program is Gaur Utsav. Girls can roam freely up to 9 to 10 pm. Otherwise, the last timing for girls hostel gates is 7 to 8 pm.

Q:   What is the effectiveness of the placement cell for BCom programmes at Dr Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya?
A:

Based on the verified Shiksha reviews and comments from students and alumni of Dr Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, here's an assessment of the placement cell's effectiveness:

  • Limited Placements: Many reviewers mentioned that only 20% to 40% of students are placed through the college's placement cell, which may indicate limited job opportunities.
  • Low Packages: Some students reported receiving low salaries ranging from INR 15,000 to INR 30,000 per month, which may not be competitive in the market.
  • No Internship Opportunities: None of the reviewers mentioned participating in internship programmes through the college, which may impact students' employability skills.
  • Self-Placement Efforts: Most students relied on self-placement efforts, finding jobs independently rather than relying on the college's placement services.

Conclusively, the placement cell at Dr Hari Singh Gour University seems to have limitations in placing students effectively, offering low salaries, and providing insufficient internship opportunities. While some students did manage to secure jobs through self-effort, the overall picture suggests room for improvement in the placement cell's performance.
